Steve graduated from Drake University Law School in December 1975 and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in January 1976. He was an assistant Iowa Attorney General until October 1976 when he joined the firm. Steve has served as a judicial magistrate and juvenile court referee during his years of practice. He is a member, treasurer of, and past chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Humboldt Congregational United Church of Christ. Married with two children, he has been involved in many school and community volunteer activities.
